NTNC 2019 Winter Meeting
The meeting will take place from noon on Thursday, Jan. 31, to noon on Friday, Feb. 1.
The meeting sessions will be held at The Graduate Hotel, 615 Washington Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
Wednesday, Jan. 30
7 p.m. dinner at Loring Bar in Dinkytown. We’ll gather in the lobby of The Graduate Hotel at 6:45 p.m. for the refreshing, brisk walk of a few beautiful blocks. If it’s a bit too refreshing and brisk, we’ll car pool.
Thursday, Jan. 31
6 p.m. dinner at Fhima’s. We’ll meet at the lobby of The Graduate Hotel at 5:30 p.m. to take the light rail – Fhima’s is about three blocks from the rail stop. Rail passes will be provided.
The nearest commercial airport is Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, about 10 miles from the hotel; depending on the time of day, it may take 30 minutes for the drive.
You can reserve a ride share with Super Shuttle, which is located at the airport. Reservations can be made online or over the phone, and the ride share is $18 per person. This can take longer to get here since multiple stops will be made.
A cab ride will cost about $45-$55 and will take anywhere from 25-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Hamid is the hotel driver who handles all of their airport runs, and his number is 612- 328-3553. Leave him a detailed message and he will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
Lyft and Uber are also options, and you can easily grab them from the airport; a Lyft usually costs $25-$30, depending on traffic.
Otherwise you can take the Light Rail, the public transit train system, which is between $2-$2.50 a ticket, depending on whether it’s rush hour. From the airport, you'll take the blue line headed towards Minneapolis, and get off at the US Bank Stadium station. Once there, you'll walk across to the other platform, and board the green line train headed east towards St. Paul. Get off at the East Bank station, taking a right off the train and you should see Starbucks on your left – kitty corner from the station, and that right there is the hotel!
A block of rooms has been reserved for meeting participants on Jan. 30 and 31 and Feb. 1, at the cost of $164 per night plus state and local taxes currently assessed at 13.15%.
There are two ways to reserve your room:

A $50.00 deposit is payable at the time of check-in. Rooms in the block that have not been reserved by Dec. 31, 2018 will be released to the public.
Parking at the hotel is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, in the parking lot behind the hotel. For registered guests, there is a daily parking fee of $20 plus tax, and valet parking for $27 plus tax. Non-overnight guests may park in the Washington Avenue Ramp that is connected to the hotel by an enclosed walkway; there is an hourly and daily parking fee.
A complimentary shuttle stops in front of the hotel and goes within a five-mile radius of the hotel. The last pick-up is at 10:30 a.m., and use is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
